The three Naukri fields recruiters actually type into
Naukri's own "resume quality" meter mostly nags you to fill empty boxes. Recruiter search is narrower: they type a skill or title, then filter who updated recently. If these three fields are vague, a high ApplyVita parse score still will not put you in that list.
- Headline — put the title they search (for example "Java backend developer" or "GST accountant"), not "seeking challenging opportunity". Keep it the same idea as the resume H1 so the parsed file and the profile do not disagree.
- Key skills — the exact tokens from 3–4 target JDs, in the spelling recruiters use ("Tally Prime", "SAP MM", "React.js"). Soft skills here waste slots that boolean search never queries.
- Last updated — recruiters routinely filter "active in last 30 days". Re-upload the same PDF after a real edit (headline or a bullet), not a dummy save. Recency without keyword match only borrows a short bump.
