How to cancel LiveCareer — and get a refund
The cancellation steps and the actual refund rules, quoted from LiveCareer's own help pages and linked so you can check every line yourself.
LiveCareer prints its cancellation options on the pricing page itself, right under each paid plan: cancel online, by email, or by calling a toll-free number — 800-652-8430 in the United States and Canada. You can also cancel yourself from the account dashboard without talking to anyone.
The same pricing page promises a refund if you are not satisfied within 14 days; LiveCareer's terms put it as a refund you can request if you cancel before the end of the initial period. Both are quoted below from LiveCareer's own pages. LiveCareer belongs to BOLD LLC, the company behind several other resume builders, which is why its terms read like theirs — the phone lines and billing names below are LiveCareer's own.
Disclosure: ApplyVita is a competing resume tool. That is exactly why every policy statement on this page is a direct quote with a link to LiveCareer's own page — so you can verify it rather than take our word for it. We have no affiliate relationship with LiveCareer and earn nothing if you cancel.
How to cancel LiveCareer
- Fastest by yourself: log in and use the self-serve cancel option in your account dashboard (LiveCareer's terms call it the online cancel page under your settings page).
- By phone: call 800-652-8430 in the United States or Canada (Monday–Friday 8am–8pm, Saturday 8am–5pm, Sunday 10am–6pm CST) or 0808-189-0354 in the UK (9am–9pm GMT, every day).
- By email or chat: customerservice@livecareer.com, or the chat on LiveCareer's contact page.
- Keep the confirmation email — LiveCareer sends one with a cancellation number. If it is not in your inbox, search spam or junk before you assume the cancellation failed.
- Within 14 days of starting and want your money back? Ask for the refund when you cancel; it is a request, not an automatic part of cancelling.
After you cancel: LiveCareer keeps your documents. Its terms describe free storage for registered users that stays available after you cancel, so you can come back, view and edit — but you need an active subscription to print, download or share. A published Bold.pro profile stays public after cancelling unless you unpublish it in your privacy settings.
Can you get a refund?
LiveCareer's pricing page offers a refund if you are not satisfied within 14 days, and its terms let you request a refund if you cancel before the end of the initial period. After that, the terms say refunds are not guaranteed.
“Cancel any time online, by email or call us toll-free at 800-652-8430.”
“Not satisfied in 14 days? Get a refund”
“You may request a refund if notice of cancellation of your subscription is provided before the end of the initial period, if the initial period is offered.”
“Contact us by phone, email or chat for further assistance. Otherwise you have self-serve options available to you in your account dashboard.”
The billing detail worth checking
LiveCareer's pricing page lists 14-Day Premium Access, which auto-renews after 14 days and is then billed every four weeks, and Annual Premium Access, paid up front and auto-renewing each year. Four-weekly billing means 13 charges a year, not 12 — worth knowing before you compare it with a monthly price.
What LiveCareer gives you free
LiveCareer describes its free Basic Access as basic features with limited downloads, and its terms list the resume builder and a free .txt download among the free services. Downloads in PDF, Word and other formats are listed under premium access.

How a LiveCareer charge appears on your statement
LiveCareer says its charges show on a bank or card statement as LiveCareer.com, BLD*LiveCareer.com or PayPal *LIVECAREER. Match the name before you dispute anything with your bank.
ApplyVita is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, nothing auto-renews, and no payment method is stored to charge you again — so there is nothing to cancel. When a plan ends you simply return to the free tier.
To be straight with you about our own limits: ApplyVita's free tier does not include PDF/DOCX download either. Downloads come with a paid plan (Starter buys 7 days of full access plus 3 downloads). The difference we're claiming is not "we're free and they're not" — it's that you pay us once, on purpose, instead of being billed again every few weeks.
All ApplyVita purchases are final, so the ATS check is free — score your resume before you decide to pay anything.
