What the Screening Actually Rewards
NQT qualifiers entering TCS's standard fresher grade.
Ninja is the standard entry track offered off the back of the NQT — the broad-intake grade most qualifiers interview for. Its screening distinctiveness is not the test (that already happened) but the interview: a general technical panel that works entirely from your resume.
Because Ninja panels see enormous volumes, they anchor on the few concrete things your resume gives them. A vague resume gets a vague interview — which is harder to pass, not easier.
Eligibility — the shape, not this cycle's numbers
- Entry is via NQT qualification; there is no separate Ninja registration.
- The same academic-minimum and verification criteria as the NQT apply through to offer.

How TCS Ninja actually selects
- 1NQT score banding
Your test performance places you in the pool from which Ninja interviews are scheduled.
- 2Technical interview
A general panel — expect fundamentals of your degree stream, your listed languages, and a walkthrough of one project.
Resume angle: Panels usually open with 'take me through your resume'. The order you list things IS your opening statement.
- 3Managerial + HR rounds
Communication, relocation flexibility and consistency checks against your application.
Resume rules specific to TCS Ninja
- Lead with the project you most want to be asked about — Ninja interviews usually walk the resume top to bottom.
- Name fundamentals honestly: 'C++ (data structures coursework)' invites a fair question; bare 'C++' invites an unfair one.
- Keep the education table verification-exact, as with every TCS track.
- One certification line beats five listed courses — panels probe depth, not breadth.
- If you also hold a Digital ambition, do not write 'aiming for Digital upgrade' on the resume — show the skills instead.
What gets filtered in this drive
- Padding with college society roles ahead of technical projects — panels read top-down and time-box.
- Listing every language from the curriculum; the second question is always the one you didn't expect.
- A summary paragraph restating the education table below it.
