Biodata Format for Marriage —
Simple Sample + Word Download
Short answer: A marriage biodata is a 1–2 page family profile with photo, personal details, education, occupation, family background, lifestyle and partner preferences. It is separate from a job biodata — families read it before the first meeting, not employers.
7 sections of a marriage biodata
Recent passport-size photo, top-right. Neutral background, formal or semi-formal dress. One photo only — not a collage.
Full name, date of birth, height, religion/caste (if your family shares this), marital status, current city.
Degrees with college and year, current role, employer (name or sector), income range — stated honestly.
Father's and mother's name and occupation, siblings (married/unmarried), family type (nuclear/joint), native place.
Diet (veg/non-veg), smoking/drinking (yes/no), languages spoken, hobbies — brief and factual.
Age range, education minimum, location, profession preference, lifestyle expectations — keep respectful and realistic.
Phone/email of the person coordinating (often a parent or sibling). Do not list every relative's number.
